An experienced software engineer, Chris is implementing core elements of the Vega protocol. His past work includes commercial micro payment systems, patent search services, and mobile applications.

A keen interest in ubiquitous computing led to a passion for mobile software. In the early 2000s, (pre-smartphone) he worked on solving distributed computing problems for mobile networks. He is an expert in .NET, Java, and most recently Golang. He adopted Xamarin (now owned by Microsoft) for rapid development of cross platform .NET in 2009. He quickly became recognised in his field—creating mobile apps for agencies, music streaming startups, and enterprise workforces.

His recent work includes development on IoT platforms with in-field monitoring for the automotive and health sectors. Specialisms include Bluetooth and NFC, low level communication and distributed databases.

Chris also founded a hardware startup in 2008, managing manufacturing, hardware design, and branding. He turned it into a profitable business within 12 months.

We are transforming how financial markets work, so no one gets to stack the odds against anyone else. On Vega Protocol, markets are open and fair, fees are shared by market makers–not owners–and governance decisions are made by the community.

What we’re doing isn’t easy. Building a fast, decentralised system is hard. Ensuring it’s fair without a central owner is complex. But we’re not intimidated by challenges. We’re motivated by them.

We can’t do this without an active community. Tell us what you think. Keep an eye out for our protocol whitepaper, and follow our progress on Twitter.
